On Jan 15, the court sentenced Jo Duk Jae to one year in prison for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation). The actor was arrested in court after he was sentenced to prison for disparaging the victim, actress Ban Min Jung, even after his sexual harassment against her was found guilty. His one-sided claims and his words were accepted as a secondary offense. His bide-in Jung, who was indicted for the same charges, was sentenced to six months in prison with a two-year suspension. Jo was previously accused of sexually harassing his counterpart, Ban Min Jung, by tearing her underwear and touching her body parts without consent when filming a scene for a movie in April 2015. He was found guilty in September 2018 and was sentenced to a year in prison with a two-year suspension. However, Jo continued to disparage Ban and the judiciary on social media, fan cafe and YouTube during his probation, and was later indicted without detention. ┬Ā Source (1)
