According to The Bell, Cube Entertainment is planning to expand its major artistsŌĆÖ promotions to drive performance. CubeŌĆÖs first-quarter sales and operating profits reached 16.3 billion KRW (about $14 million) and 2.2 billion KRW (about $1.9 million), thanks to (G)I-DLEŌĆÖs success. The company also performed well in the second quarter with Jeon SoyeonŌĆÖs solo album and YuqiŌĆÖs appearances in variety shows. And in the coming third quarter, The Bell expected (G)I-DLEŌĆÖs comeback as a whole group and rookie girl group LughtsumŌĆÖs active promotions. However, (G)I-DLEŌĆÖs Soojin was caught up in the school violence scandal earlier. In response, Soojin and the agency denied the allegations and filed a complaint against the false information. However, despite all their efforts to clear her name, the controversy is still ongoing. To make matters worse, actress Seo Shin Ae, the alleged victim of SoojinŌĆÖs bullying, admitted to the allegations of school violence related to Soojin.
