The 71st Berlin Film Festival announced its winners online on March 5 at 8 pm KST, and on that day, Hong Sang SooŌĆÖs 25th film Introduction won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay along with rave reviews. Introduction tells a three-part story of a father, a lover, and a mother centered around a young man named Young Ho. Kim Min Hee was named the actress and the production manager of the film. First premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival on March 1, Introduction has received rave reviews among the critics. The Americal media outlet Variety reviewed, ŌĆ£Characters offer each other herbal tonics and cough drops, cigarettes and soju,ŌĆØ while Deadline commented, ŌĆ£Even if Introduction feels like just that, an appetizer, it still offers up more to chew on than some full meals.ŌĆØ Director Hong was invited to the Berline Film Festival for the fifth time ŌĆō Night and Day, NobodyŌĆÖs Daughter Haewon, On the Beach at Night Alone, The Woman Who Ran, and Introduction. Of them, Kim Min Hee won the Silver Bear for Best Actress award with On the Beach at Night Alone, and Hong took home the Silver Bear for Best Director award with The Woman Who Ran.
