Uncle Samsik paints out the ambition and bromance of two men, Uncle Samsik and Kim San, who survived a turbulent period in the early 1960s, centering around their love, faith, and doubts. Song Kang Ho steps into the role of Uncle Samsik, who takes pride in the fact that ŌĆ£he ate three meals every day even during the war.ŌĆØ HeŌĆÖs a man of colorful narrative. Joining him in the cast is Byun Yohan as Kim San, an elite who graduated from Korea Military Academy. While studying in the States, he changes his major to economics and returns to Korea with the grand dream of turning Korea into an industrial country. The two will show a perfect bromance in the show as Uncle Samsik approaches Kim San, saying that the two have the same dream. Lee Kyoo Hyung plays Kang Sung Min, the most likely candidate to become the next (political) leader. HeŌĆÖs been fulfilling his desires through Samsik, but now he wants to get rid of him. The animosity Samsik feels toward Kang Sung Min is one of the reasons that heŌĆÖs drawn to Kim San. Lastly, Seo Hyun Woo turns into Jung Han Min, an elite soldier. He studied in the States alongside Kim San, but he stayed in the army, dreaming of one day reforming the military. But like Kim San, he also faces the harsh reality.
