MTV VMA released a full list of final nominees on July 26th. The MTV Video Music Award will take place on August 28th. BTS was nominated in four categories, including Best K-Pop (ŌĆ£Yet To ComeŌĆØ), Best Choreography (ŌĆ£Permission to DanceŌĆØ), Best Metaverse Performance (ŌĆ£MinecraftŌĆØ) and Best Visual Effects (Hit collab ŌĆ£My UniverseŌĆØ with Coldplay). The group earned their first VMA nods in 2019 and won the Best Group and the Best K-Pop awards. Last year, they took home three awards, including Group of the Year, Best-K-Pop, and Song of the Summer awards. SEVENTEEN also got nominated in three categories, including Best New Artist, Push Performance of the Year (ŌĆ£Rock With YouŌĆØ), and Best K-Pop (ŌĆ£HOTŌĆØ). This is the third time they have been named as nominees for the music award. BLACKPINKŌĆÖs Lisa got a separate nomination for Best K-Pop (ŌĆ£LALISAŌĆØ), while her group was nominated for Best Metaverse Performance for hosting PUBG ĀMobile Ā2022 In-Game Concert. Last year, the girl group won the Song of the Summer award for their mega-hit song, ŌĆ£How You Like ThatŌĆØ. Other winners for Best K-Pop include BTS (ŌĆ£Yet To ComeŌĆØ), ITZY (ŌĆ£LOCOŌĆØ), Lisa (ŌĆ£LALISAŌĆØ), SEVENTEEN (ŌĆ£HOTŌĆØ), Stray Kids (ŌĆ£MANIACŌĆØ), and TWICE (ŌĆ£The FeelsŌĆØ). Source (1)
